Little Coin Purse Tutorial

I'm gonna show YOU how to make a coin purse. I am not quite sure if I am risking my life since there is a huge thunderstorm taking pace outside and lots of lightning, but my computer's not plugged into the wall...

Anyways! You will need two strips of fabric, I kinda went with a random size, so like when your cutting it, fold the fabric in half and see if its long enough. You will also need a zipper, a bit longer then your width, or the short side (look at mine).

Cut out two strips of fabric, one for the inside, and one for the out.

Apply interfacing to the front side of the purse. This is an optional step.

Sandwich the zipper between the very edge (short side) of both of the fabrics. You want the zipper to face your outside fabric, which for the was the brown one.

See the photo above is when you have sewn both sides (should look like the photo on top of the photo above, before you turn it inside out) of the zipper. Turn the little pouch out, so the zipper is facing you. You then want to unzip the zipper as far as it will go, and sew like 1/4 in. away from the zipper. Look at my photo on the above, and you can see where I did this step, it is the red thread on both sides to the zipper.

Turn it inside out and keep it about half un-zipped. Sew a line (as you can see in the photo) to seal off the two open edges. NOTE: you can put your zipper on the top, or the middle, or to the side like what I did. Confused yet? :/
Ziggzag raw edges.

Finnish up with sewing the two sides (see I did it in red thread). Looking at the photo above, it would the on the sides that the tips of the zipper are touching.

And vwala! A little, flat coin purse for fun!
