Little Coin Purse Tutorial

I'm gonna show YOU how to make a coin purse. I am not quite sure if I am risking my life since there is a huge thunderstorm taking pace outside and lots of lightning, but my computer's not plugged into the wall...

Anyways! You will need two strips of fabric, I kinda went with a random size, so like when your cutting it, fold the fabric in half and see if its long enough. You will also need a zipper, a bit longer then your width, or the short side (look at mine).

Cut out two strips of fabric, one for the inside, and one for the out.

Apply interfacing to the front side of the purse. This is an optional step.

Sandwich the zipper between the very edge (short side) of both of the fabrics. You want the zipper to face your outside fabric, which for the was the brown one.

See the photo above is when you have sewn both sides (should look like the photo on top of the photo above, before you turn it inside out) of the zipper. Turn the little pouch out, so the zipper is facing you. You then want to unzip the zipper as far as it will go, and sew like 1/4 in. away from the zipper. Look at my photo on the above, and you can see where I did this step, it is the red thread on both sides to the zipper.

Turn it inside out and keep it about half un-zipped. Sew a line (as you can see in the photo) to seal off the two open edges. NOTE: you can put your zipper on the top, or the middle, or to the side like what I did. Confused yet? :/
Ziggzag raw edges.

Finnish up with sewing the two sides (see I did it in red thread). Looking at the photo above, it would the on the sides that the tips of the zipper are touching.

And vwala! A little, flat coin purse for fun!

GIVEAWAY #2!

Hey ya'll! Waza cracka lackin?! Well, I have high hopes for this one...

A GIVEAWAY! What do ya think? In the middle of the week, and when school work is about crushing me, I decide to host a giveaway. I feel that my blog has been neglected since I left to China and page views have dropped greatly. So in hope of raising the bar a bit, I am doing a giveaway!

You can win either two postcards that are handmade, one with sparkle and one with old music!

(I apologize for the dark back grounds, I don't like 'em, but it's night time so I haven't got much natural light...)

Or you can win this silk flower hair pin!

All you have to do is become a follower (oOOhH! This sound so professional!) and leave a comment! Simple as that. Please leave you email address or blog address so I can contact you if you win.

If you would like ONE extra entry, just join my facebook page (so I can send you annoying little reminders when I post stuff- no just kidding- well just a little bit ;) and come back and comment again down below.

I will keep this open for ONE WEEK (till april 20th) but if there is a lack of comments, I will continue the date. But anywho, I'll use the random generator-thing to get a number and vawala!

*PS. Can you tell that I'm feeling colorful? :)

Day 3.

We went to the forbidden city, and yet again it was *cold*!

Somebody apparently thought the toilet deserved 5 stars...

Then we went to go see some pandas!

Oh ya, the fashion was AMAZING.

Then for dinner, we went to this restaurant that was based around duck. It was very INTERESTING.

This was the menu.

And this was the mushroom soup. It was actually good! It tasted a bit like half and half though.

Then we went back to the hotel to go to bed. Part of the group walked around outside and this is what they saw:

 Grose right?!
